And here is a picture of our annual visit to the Christmas market in Karlsruhe. Cosy atmosphere, delicious Glühwein and Feuerwurst!
Guillaume was back in Bavaria for the Bayreuth Polymer Symposium for the last few days. Great intimate but high-level conference. Wonderful organization and social program! The reception at the Villa Wahnfried with a concert of Feuerbach Quartett was really nice. Below, you can see a piano which belonged to Richard Wagner.
Guillaume just spent 3 days in the cute and quiet town of Garching in Bavaria to measure some neutron scattering at the Heinz Maier-Leibnitz Zentrum on the TU München Campus. Super interesting and kind of weird to be back in the lab!
Dominic just graduated and became Herr Dr. Keller! Here are some pics before the party started.
Divya, Gabriela, and Guillaume attend the APME2017 conference in the beautiful city of Gent, Belgium. Divya and Gaby presented their works at the poster session and Guillaume was lucky to get a full room for his talk, chaired by the legendary Prof. Mitsuo Sawamoto. Lots of old friends there and great fun!
Thanks to the SFB1176, who invites renowned external speakers, our group had the privilege on spending some time with Prof. Krzysztof Matyjaszewski, one of the pioneers of controlled radical polymerization.
Tanja just graduated and became Dr Claus! Here is her Doktorwagen and a picture of her (on the left) with the two other graduates from the Macroarc group.
Guillaume, as organizer of the YIN Lecture Series at KIT, welcomed Prof. Jean-Marie Lehn, Nobel Prize Laureate in Chemistry 1987. An inspiring day!
This day we celebrated our first Doctor! Hatice Turgut is now Dr Turgut!
By coincidence, exactly one year after our last visit and despite some of us being sick or abroad… here we are again, at the Karlsruhe Christmas market!
